Job summary

EOG Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Title Analyst in Houston to support leasing, operations, and production objectives of the domestic division offices. You will analyze leases, deeds, and contracts and maintain accurate owner records across all properties.

The role requires reviewing title documents, coordinating with Land teams, and generating complex JIB and DOI decks while ensuring data integrity under SOX controls. Bachelor’s degree preferred, 5+ years’ experience.

• 5+ years of experience in Land Administration as a Lease Analyst or Division Order Analyst.
• Strong experience analyzing leases, contracts, title opinions, deeds, assignments, probate documents, and other title curative materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume workload, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and administer lease ownership, payments, and obligations.
• Monitor lease status and transfer acreage to producing status based on plats and unit summaries.
• Coordinate with Land personnel through the Land Calendar to tender lease extensions and other obligations.
• Set up and apply contract terms (e.g., Communitization Agreements, Unit Declarations, JOAs, Farmout Agreements).
• Perform well record maintenance for EOG-operated properties.
• Build and maintain JIB decks and DOI decks reflecting title ownership.
• Collaborate with title resolution analysts to communicate with interest owners and obtain necessary documentation.
• Analyze curative and conveyance documents to update ownership.
• Verify ownership interests in outside-operated wells.
• Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence, data conversions, escheatment, and special projects.
• Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting and other departments to support company objectives.

Job description

EOG's Land Administration department is seeking an experienced oil and gas title professional to fill the position of Senior Title Analyst. This role supports the leasing, operations, and production objectives of EOG's domestic division offices. The Senior Title Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis, joint interest billing and division of interest setup, and maintaining accurate and current ownership across all records.

• Review, maintain, and administer lease ownership, payments, and obligations.
• Monitor lease status and transfer acreage to producing status based on plats and unit summaries.
• Coordinate with division Land personnel through the Land Calendar to tender lease extensions, minimum royalty payments, shut‑in payments, and other required obligations.
• Set up and apply contract terms, including but not limited to Communitization Agreements, Unit Declarations, Joint Operating Agreements, and Farmout Agreements.
• Perform well record maintenance for EOG‑operated properties based on information received from division operations.
• Build and maintain joint interest billing (JIB) decks based on approved title reports.
• Build and maintain complex burdened division of interest (DOI) decks reflecting record title ownership for producing properties through detailed analysis of title opinions, leases, assignments, deeds, probates, operating agreements, farmout agreements, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with title resolution analysts to communicate with interest owners, resolve inquiries, and obtain documentation necessary for title curative and owner account updates.
• Analyze curative and conveyance documents, including deeds, probate, and assignments, to update mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership.
• Verify EOG's ownership interests in outside‑operated wells.
• Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence efforts, audits (internal and external), data conversions, escheatment, and other special projects.
• Collaborate effectively with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other internal departments to support company objectives.
• Perform all duties in compliance with EOG's SOX control requirements and operational processes, with a strong emphasis on data integrity.
  

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Land Administration working as a Lease Analyst or Division Order Analyst.
• Strong experience analyzing leases, contracts, title opinions, deeds, assignments, probate documents, and other title curative materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and applications.
• Proven ability to manage a high‑volume workload, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated sound decision‑making while remaining conscious of deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Professional discretion in handling confidential and proprietary company information.
• High school diploma or GED required.
  

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree.
• Title experience in the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, or Powder River Basin.
• Prior experience working for an operator.
• Knowledge of federal leasing and unitization.
