Sr. Test Automation Engineer with Data Warehousing & SQL

Predactica is seeking a consultant with extensive test automation skills and experience in Data Warehousing environments such as Snowflake. This is a remote position.

Job Responsibilities

• Create test automation scripts and utilize tools for validating data and application functionality.
• Build and execute test cases to ensure the integrity of all production solutions on the enterprise data platform, including data pipelines, data warehouses, data marts, and data sharing repositories.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements through quality engineering process enhancements within the Agile development lifecycle; develop procedures, proposals, and lead implementation.
• Isolate, reproduce, manage, and maintain defect and test case databases, and verify fixes.
• Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users.
• Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort through automation of repeatable tests.
• Define and promote quality and testing best practices among development teams.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of professional experience or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, especially Snowflake.
• Experience in creating test automation frameworks and test cases.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC processes.
• Experience with enterprise database technologies like SQL Server, Oracle, and data integration tools such as Informatica and DataStage, as well as business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Proven experience in functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
