Powers Health is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist in Chemistry for the Munster location. The role involves full departmental operation in collaboration with the Supervisor, leveraging MT/ASCP and Histology certifications to deliver accurate test results for diagnosis and treatment.

Managers ensure quality and mentorship across the team. Ideal candidates have MT certification and Histology credentials, with 2+ years in MT or Histology, and willingness to lead in a dynamic clinical setting at

Qualifications

• MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Histology: HT/HTL or equivalent certification.
• Clinical Departments: ≥2 years experience as MT.
• Histology: ≥2 years experience in Histology.

Responsibilities

• Operates the department in conjunction with the Supervisor/Specialist and Site Director.
• Performs moderate to highly complex clinical procedures using sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate results.
• Ensures proper operation of the laboratory during shift coverage and mentoring opportunities.

MUNSTER LOCATION

In addition to performing all duties of a Technologist (MT or HT), Medical Laboratory Technician (Histology/Cytology Assistant, Histology Lab Assistant, where applicable) and a Laboratory Technologist, the Senior Technologist is responsible for complete operation of the Department in conjunction with the Supervisor/Specialist. Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist and Laboratory Site Director.

Education/Experience: Clinical Departments: BS/BA & graduation from approved MT School; Histology: BS/BA. Clinical Departments: MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification; Histology: HT/HTL or equivalent certification. Experience: Clinical Departments - >=2 years experience as MT required: Histology: >=2 years experience in Histology required.
