Powers Health in Indiana seeks a Medical Technologist to perform moderate and high complexity laboratory procedures with sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate test results used in diagnosis and treatment.

You will document diverse microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and chemical tests, under supervision, with opportunities for growth through mentoring, tuition assistance, PTO and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and graduation from an MT program.
• MT (ASCP)/NCA or equivalent certification.
• Must pass certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory procedures using advanced instrumentation to obtain accurate test results.
• Document and analyze microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and chemical tests; conduct advanced tests.
• Work under supervision of a Senior Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.

Job description

Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyzes and documents a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic and/or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests; conducts advanced tests. Medical Technologist is expected to perform the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Laboratory Technologist, in addition to the expectations as a Medical Technologist. Duties are performed under the supervision of a Senior Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor/General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director.

Education/Experience: BS/BA and graduation from an approved MT School. MT (ASCP)/NCA or equivalent certification. Must pass certification within 1 year of hire.
