Job description

Sr Technical Program Manager, Amazon Branded Connected Devices

Job ID: 2961128 | Amazon.com Services LLC

As our Senior Technical Program Manager on the Amazon Branded Connected Devices team, you'll be the bridge between imagination and execution. You'll work with brilliant minds across engineering, product, and operations teams, tackling problems that haven't been solved before. The challenges are real, the scale is massive, and the impact touches millions of lives.

Every day brings fresh puzzles. You'll guide teams through the development maze, keeping everyone aligned and moving forward. From optimizing performance to managing costs, from refining manufacturing to ensuring reliability – you'll own it all. You'll work with teams across the globe, orchestrating the complex dance of hardware and software development.

We need someone who thrives in ambiguity and gets energized by complex challenges. Someone who can speak tech but translate it for everyone else. Someone who knows how to lead without a roadmap and deliver without a manual.
The work is demanding but deeply satisfying. You'll learn constantly, solve meaningful problems, and have a blast doing it. Plus, you'll see your work come to life in products that change how people live. If you're ready to build the future and have some fun doing it, we want to talk.

Key job responsibilities
We're looking for a rare breed of technical leader, someone who sees patterns in chaos and opportunities in challenges. Numbers tell you stories. Data guides your decisions. But you don’t only focus on spreadsheets and metrics, you know how to rally a team around a bold vision.

You've been in the trenches before. You've taken messy, complex technical problems and turned them into elegant solutions. When others see roadblocks, you see pathways. You can work solo when needed, but you truly shine when building consensus across teams and turning competing priorities into shared victories.

Speed doesn't scare you, it excites you. You've thrived in fast-moving environments where today's plan might need to evolve by tomorrow. You've owned programs from start to finish, navigating the uncertainties and bringing order to the chaos. Most importantly, you've got the battle scars and success stories to prove it.

The individual must demonstrate technical leadership to:
- Deliver high quality products that optimize performance, cost, manufacturing, and reliability.
- Work with key stakeholders in product management and engineering teams to define product requirements
- Lead cross functional product development from design through delivery
- Manage timeline, dependencies, and deliverables. Work with remote teams to deliver supporting hardware and software in sync with launch timelines.
- Work with partner teams to deliver supporting hardware and software in sync with launch timelines.
- Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control

About the team
We're the dreamers and builders behind Amazon's next generation of smart devices. Think of us as the special forces of product development: we build the entire software stack for a new product, from the core firmware to the apps in your pocket. Success for us isn't just about shipping products, it's about changing lives. We measure our wins through happy customers, stellar reviews, and devices that become such a natural part of daily life that people can't imagine living without them. Our team brings together product visionaries, firmware wizards, app architects, and backend gurus, all united by one goal: building technology that serves people, not the other way around.
