Senior Manager, R&D Compliance and Security

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

For this role, Solventum is seeking an experienced senior leader with a diverse background based on a solid foundation in software development, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will be someone with high energy, focus on the details, and great communication skills, capable of engaging with executives, developers, and cross-functional teams.

The Senior Manager, R&D Compliance and Security, will serve in a highly visible role within Solventum's Health Information Systems (HIS). You'll represent Solventum's largest R&D team and work closely with the HIS VP overseeing StateRAMP/FedRAMP and the corporate VP of Product Security to manage compliance and security programs. Responsibilities include conducting compliance audits, developing and implementing compliance programs, and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with innovative and diverse teams worldwide and make an impact by:

  • Leading collaboration across Solventum's HIS R&D teams with the corporate security team and third-party assessors to conduct security audits, compliance checks, and assessments, including standards like NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC2 Type II, among others.
  • Ensuring all R&D activities comply with relevant cybersecurity controls, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Aggregating risk data and reporting key cyber-risk trends to executive leadership.
  • Ensuring project compliance with security standards and architectures.
  • Managing the HIS RAMP budget, including overseeing expenses and resource alignment.
Your Skills and Expertise

To succeed in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university and 12 years of relevant software development experience, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 16 years of software development experience.

Additionally:

  • Minimum of ten (10+) years of leadership experience.
  • Minimum of five (5+) years managing a department budget of $10M+.
  • At least five (5+) years supporting cybersecurity audits such as SOC2, HITRUST, StateRAMP, or FedRAMP.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in computer science.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure security.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence risk management decisions.
  • Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or GSLC.
