Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to design and execute comprehensive testing across the software development lifecycle, ensuring quality and reliability of our health technology solutions for customers and providers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to test strategy and planning, support UAT, mentor junior QA analysts, and maintain regression suites while prioritizing activities to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong experience creating and executing manual test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating software defects.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.
  • Experience participating in test strategy and test planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior team members.

As a Senior QA Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our solutions by designing and executing comprehensive testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. You will identify test scenarios, develop and execute manual test cases, investigate and track defects, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will also contribute to test strategy and planning, assess the impact of application changes, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and mentor junior QA team members through peer reviews and knowledge sharing.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Developers to understand business requirements and testing scope.
  • Analyze functional and technical documentation to identify high-level test scenarios.
  • Design comprehensive positive and negative manual test cases.
  • Develop and maintain manual test scripts, expected results, and test data.
  • Execute manual test cases and accurately document test results.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Maintain regression test suites as new functionality is introduced.
  • Prioritize testing activities based on business and project priorities.
  • Participate in defining test strategies and test plans.
  • Assess the QA impact of system changes and identify regression testing requirements.
  • Monitor testing progress and proactively communicate risks, issues, and timelines.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase testing efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure all QA activities comply with established standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including occasional travel to client locations when required.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Mentor and perform peer reviews for less experienced QA Analysts.
What You Will Bring

Nice to Have for This Role
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives.
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Experience with enterprise applications or pension and benefits administration systems.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Experience reviewing the work of junior QA Analysts and providing constructive feedback.
  • Previous experience training or coaching QA team members.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to client locations as project needs require.

Salary range : 58,100.00 - 80,000.00 - 100,00.00 USD Annual
