Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Benefits Analyst in the United States to manage daily administrative tasks, drive data processing, and lead implementation projects in benefits administration. You will work with a sophisticated database and collaborate with clients and project managers to ensure accurate data and successful configurations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative and case management issues and data processing activities.
  • Monitor project schedules and alert project manager if timelines are at risk.
  • Test and analyze system configurations against requirements during implementation and administration.
  • Set up client healthcare & group benefits databases, define data fields, import data, design screens and create queries/reports.
  • Meet with project managers and clients to define scope, prepare work plans, and document project scope.

As a Benefits Analyst, you'll serve as both a subject matter expert and technical systems resource, managing daily administration processes, leading implementation projects, and ensuring seamless data processing activities.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage administrative and case management issues as well as data processing activities on a daily basis
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure timelines and deliverables are met; notify project manager or client if timelines are in jeopardy
  • Test and analyze system configuration against requirement documents during implementation and administration
  • Use our sophisticated database of tools to set up a client's healthcare & group benefits database; define data fields, import data, design screens and create queries and reports
  • Meet with project managers and clients to define project scope and objectives, prepare work plans, documenting project's scope and review with client(s)
You have…
  • Bachelor's degree (any field, though Business, HR, Finance, or related fields are preferred)
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools, or advanced Excel functions
  • Customer service or client support experience
  • Professional certifications in HR, benefits, or related fields
  • Experience working in a consulting or client services environment
  • Understanding of compliance requirements in benefits administration
  • Bilingual capabilities (depending on client base)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65K USD Annual

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
