Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Senior System/Network Engineer to lead infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization of a unified solution. You will drive cloud-native architectures, scalable systems, and secure operations in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of system/network engineering experience.

• Expert Kubernetes knowledge and container technologies.
• Clear understanding of DoD RMF and security requirements.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph; US citizenship.

Experience Level: Senior (Level 3) - Minimum 10 years experience
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph capability

The Senior System/Network Engineer leads infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization efforts for the unified solution. This position provides technical leadership for complex infrastructure challenges, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and secure. The engineer works closely with development teams to implement cloud-native architectures and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Kubernetes-based infrastructure
• Lead network architecture and security implementations

• Lead infrastructure-related technical discussions

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of system/network engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (or equivalent substitution)
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
• Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and security
• Experience designing multi-cloud infrastructure solutions
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Understanding of DoD security requirements and RMF
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• Must be U.S. citizen

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($122,000-$253,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
