Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Journeyman System/Network Engineer to deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure for a unified solution in the National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX. The role requires Kubernetes, Linux administration, networking, and security practices across government and commercial environments.

The position requires TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, US citizenship, and a minimum of seven years in system/network engineering, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience Level: Journeyman (Level 2) - Minimum 7 years experience

The Journeyman System/Network Engineer supports the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure required for the unified solution. This position works with Kubernetes environments, networking configurations, and Government platform services to ensure reliable system operation across all deployment environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of system/network engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field (or equivalent substitution)
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
• Knowledge of networking protocols and configurations
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK stack)
• Understanding of security principles and best practices
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph
• Must be U.S. citizen

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($77,000–$163,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
