Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems for mission-critical operations. The role applies SAFe Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, secure applications and collaborates with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will mentor juniors, conduct code reviews, and ensure solutions meet strict security requirements while aligning with system design principles and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent substitution).
• Expert-level proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.).
• Deep understanding of microservices, containerization, and orchestration.
• Extensive experience with DevSecOps practices and toolchains.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Experience with distributed systems and message queuing (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency in database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementations.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area.

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
