Responsibilities
- Provides advice, guidance, and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Evaluates, selects, and implements appropriate methods and tools at project and team levels, including tailoring and reviews of benefits and value. Contributes to organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools.
- Coordinates and manages planning of system and acceptance tests, ensuring integrity and execution. Offers guidance on test planning and execution, identifies process improvements, and contributes to testing standards and best practices.
- Leads assessment, analysis, planning, and design of release packages, including risk assessment. Conducts post-release reviews, ensures proper processes, and manages adoption of release and deployment tools including automation.
- Demonstrates creativity and initiative in problem-solving, resolving or facilitating resolution of complex problems for assigned programs.
- Handles large scope and highly complex project assignments.
- Provides exceptional customer service to end users, stakeholders, and IT team members.
- Performs daily production support activities and participates in team on-call rotations.
- Performs patching and code deployments across environments.
- Leads projects related to software enhancement, upgrades, patches, or new implementations.
- Coordinates implementation and support efforts between Infrastructure and other IT teams.
- Oversees and facilitates change management processes related to the System Engineering team.
- Reviews, recommends, and monitors source code/versioning management functions.
- Provides technical leadership and ownership across disciplines and technologies.
- Initiates and facilitates strategic planning activities such as capacity planning, process improvements, and roadmap development under oversight.
- Conducts performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Builds new test and production environments as required.
- Designs, implements, and maintains monitoring and alerting processes across all platforms.
- Identifies automation opportunities and implements scripted solutions.
