Position

Sr. System Engineer

Essential Duties

Division Manager Support (10%)

• Support the Division Manager in daily operations to achieve the Division goals.
• Take initiatives and lead various projects of the division as a Senior System Engineer.

IT Infrastructure System Consultation (40%)

• IT infrastructure consultation of merger and acquisition project
• Compliance and guideline assistance
• Works with clients to identify business challenges and solutions
• Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Develops and leads IT infrastructure related technological projects for clients.
• Reviews and analyzes company information, including business process, IT related documents, technological data to plan projects.
• Creates and presents business proposals to improve customer’s business value or to enhance business efficiency.
• Develops strong customer relationships across departments and seniority levels.

Project Management (30%)

• Plans and implement projects
• Communicates with customers, help define project scope, goals and deliverables
• Defines task is and required resources
• Collects and manage project team
• Manages budget
• Allocates project resources
• Creates schedule and project timeline
• Tracks deliverables
• Supports and direct project team
• Leads quality assurance
• Monitors and report on project progress, using WBS and issue list
• Presents to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problem and solutions
• Implements and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs evaluate and assess result of project
• Establishes good relationship with IT vendors, fully utilize their capabilities, well manage and control.
• On-Premise Server migration to the cloud (such as Microsoft Azure) project management.
• SD-WAN, SASE network implementation project management
• ID management such as Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Intune
• End Point Security management system implementation project management
• PC log management system implementation project management
• BCP, DR, and remote backup solution project management
• Customer’s web server setup and hosting project management
• Enterprise infrastructure server such as Active Directory, File Server, Printer Server, DHCP, DNS, Radius server and monitoring server setup project management

System Engineering, Management and Operation (20%)

• System Engineering
  • Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
  • Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
  • Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
  • Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
  • Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
  • Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
  • Attends trade shows and conferences, and makes site visits to suppliers’ facilities.
  • Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
  • Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
  • Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector.
  • Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.
  • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Data Center management and operation
  • Colocation service management and maintenance
  • Cloud (IaaS/PaaS) service management and maintenance
• Security system requirement definition, designing, implementation, management and operation such as following
  • Multi Factor Authentication
  • End Point Detection and Response / Managed Detection and Response
• ERP system platform setup, management and operation
• Installing, configuring, maintain and troubleshooting Windows Server
• Enterprise infrastructure server such as Active Directory, File Server, Printer Server, DHCP, DNS, Radius server and monitoring server management and maintenance
• PC log management system management and maintenance
• ERP historical data management
• Maintain cloud-based enterprise solutions including Microsoft Azure, SASE.
• Maintain ID management systems, including Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Intune
• Perform systems performance assessments and security audits.

Working Hours, Working style

9:00-17:00

Hybrid work with three days in the office per week (the frequency of office days may increase depending on the work situation)

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing systems and applications
• Strong background in systems planning, security, and problem‑solving
• Solid understanding of organizational goals and data privacy laws
• Excellent project management, documentation, and reporting skills
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure
• Collaborative, team-oriented working style
• Japanese language skil is strongly preferred
• 7–10 years of Systems Engineering experience and Project Manager Experience

Required

• Project supervision and project management experience
• Business and technical planning, including resource and budget management
• Knowledge of leadership, mentoring, and strategic technical planning
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (PMI preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
• Experience working with management, clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of current technology trends, data governance, and data center operations
• Solid cloud experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
