Harbor Freight Tools is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst to understand functional requirements from key stakeholders and deliver valuable solutions for the business.

The role emphasizes application support, design, and implementing changes across enterprise applications to ensure usability, reliability, and performance. You will work with sponsors, subject matter experts, and IT to plan high-value solutions, lead ongoing maintenance, perform root-cause analysis, and provide data through SQL

Responsibilities

• Manage daily performance and operation of enterprise-level software applications
• Responsible for technical configuration and setup of the allocation application
• Support administration of server environments
• Plan, test, and support configuration changes requested by the business
• Support application maintenance installs and application/database/OS upgrades
• Collaborate with business and IT analysts to define and scope requested application changes
• Create SQL queries to provide data to end users
• Identify errors and troubleshoot issues including bad configuration, messages, and communication failures
• Conduct root-cause analysis for application issues
• Support various phases of application development, testing and deployment activities
• Production support including after hours and weekend support
• Perform application management functions including performance monitoring and capacity planning
• Support go-live execution to ensure code integrity

Job description

The Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for understanding functional requirements from key stakeholders and providing valuable solutions for the business. This role requires an emphasis on application support, enhancement, design, building and implementing changes as needed. Effective communication with internal and external developers will be key to ensure usability, reliability, and performance of supported systems satisfy the needs of the business.

This role requires working throughout all levels of the organization, and working closely with business sponsors, business subject matter experts and Information Technology, to ensure that high business value solutions are planned and executed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the daily performance and operation of enterprise-level software applications
• Responsible for the technical configuration and setup of the allocation application
• Support the administration of the server environments
• Plan, test, and support configuration changes requested by the business
• Support application maintenance installs, and application/database/operating system upgrades
• Collaborate with business and IT analyst(s) to define and scope requested application changes
• Create SQL queries to provide data to end users
• Ongoing responsibility for identifying errors and troubleshooting issues including bad configuration, messages, and communications failures that occur between associated internal and external applications.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for application issues
• Support various phases of application development, testing and deployment activities.
• Production support including periodic after hours and weekend support responsibilities.
• Perform application management functions including performance monitoring and capacity planning for non-production and production environments.
• Support dry-run activities and go-live execution to ensure code integrity

The anticipated salary range for this position is $93,000- $139,500 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
