Job summary

RTX is seeking an IT Systems Administrator in the US to manage Windows and Linux environments, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and replication. The role supports integration of hardware and operating systems and requires DoD 8140/8570 certification compliance and U.S. citizenship.

Applicants must be eligible for Interim Secret clearance and work onsite in Andover, MA, with full-time responsibilities and relocation assistance offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience, or an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux OS installation, configuration, and administration.
• Experience with server architectures and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to develop solutions and documentation for technical problems.

What You Will Do

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows and or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods.
• Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Linux Red Hat experience.
• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
