Job summary

RTX is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for an onsite role in the US. You will manage a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment, install and administer Windows/LINUX systems, and troubleshoot complex issues across OS and hardware. Applicants must obtain interim DoD Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred experience with VMware, WSUS/MECM/Exchange, and DoD RMF guidance; relocation support available; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with server architectures and troubleshooting methods.
• Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

• Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows and or /Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Linux Red Hat experience
• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
