Job summary

The Senior Surgical Technologist at UCSF Health supports orthopedic services, applying advanced sterile techniques and assisting with complex procedures to help ensure safe, efficient operations in the operating room.

This role requires one year of orthopedic experience, graduation from a Surgical Technologist program (or equivalent), CPR certification, and the flexibility to work at all UCSF Health locations within a standard 8-hour day, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training program or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma; or equivalent experience.
• One year Orthopedic experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures and patient care.
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment for procedures.
• Serve as a resource to Surgical Technicians across UCSF Health locations.

The Senior Surgical Technologist functions in a specialty service, utilizes, and troubleshoots service implementation and equipment, and is a resource to the Surgical Technicians.

Qualifications

• One year Orthopedic experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training program or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma; or equivalent experience.
• The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technician.

License/Certification

• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
