Job description

Sr Student Services Specialist (Project Management)

The Tulsa Work Skills Trainers (Team WST) collaborate with pre-ETS specialists and DRS to support students seeking employment or the skills needed to obtain and maintain employment during high school. Responsibilities include working with students, assisting in schools, and engaging community partners to find employment opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with PreETS Specialists and DRS.
  2. Work with students seeking employment.
  3. Assist PreETS Specialists in schools.
  4. Identify community partners seeking employees.
  5. Organize and coordinate clerical functions, possibly supervising staff.
  6. Manage departmental personnel and payroll issues.
  7. Monitor and control budget expenses.
  8. Review and improve office procedures for efficiency.
  9. Assist students and provide information.
  10. Handle internal and external customer complaints.
  11. Review billing from contractors and vendors, making necessary adjustments.
  12. Maintain filing systems, including confidential documents.
  13. Manage cash accounts, credit cards, and billing.
  14. Perform additional duties as needed.
  15. Potentially select, train, and evaluate staff performance, and manage staff schedules and time tracking.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED and some college education.
  • At least 18 months' experience in office management or student services.
Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Proficient in database management.
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to produce reports and meet deadlines.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with students, faculty, and staff.
Working Conditions:
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motions.
  • Possibility of bending, lifting, and carrying.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Pressure to meet productivity standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with youth with disabilities.
  • Job coaching experience and certification.
