Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Structural Steel Project Manager to join our thriving construction team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of steel fabrication projects, from initial conception to final completion. This includes managing budgets, schedules, quality control, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, contract management, and project management.

Salary: $135,000 - $175,000 per year

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all stages of steel fabrication projects, including planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
2. Develop and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
3. Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all work meets or exceeds the company's high standards.
4. Manage all contract negotiations and agreements with clients and subcontractors.
5. Use strategic planning to anticipate and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
6. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.
7. Communicate regularly with clients, team members, and stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed and satisfied.
8. Implement cost control measures to ensure that the project remains within budget.
9. Use negotiation skills to resolve disputes and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
10. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and any other legal or regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on steel fabrication.
3. Proven experience in steel fabrication projects over 2,000 tons
4. Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, quality control, and budgeting.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
7. Strong skills in cost control and risk management.
8. Proficient in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
