We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is a remote position. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering, you will:

1. Develop and manage shared infrastructure automation for US federal, regulated, and sovereign cloud environments.
2. Improve security of CI/CD systems and automate change management processes.
3. Define and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and procedures across the engineering team.
4. Automate the build-out of new Zscaler clouds and create delivery mechanisms for operational collateral.
5. Participate in on-call rotation to support a highly available engineering platform and ensure compliance with federal guidelines.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

1. 5+ years of experience in commercial services development and working with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
2. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible and skilled in programming languages such as Go.
3. Expertise in designing, analyzing, and resolving issues in large-scale distributed systems.
4. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or an equivalent field.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

1. Experience with High/Moderate FedRamp authorization levels (IL5/IL6 is a plus).
2. Experience in continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patching, and reporting.
3. Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and both relational and non-relational databases for microservices.
