Job summary

The Judge Group in North Charleston, SC is seeking an Accountant to manage month-end close, financial reporting, and core accounting duties. This full-time role includes accounts payable, tax filings, vendor reconciliations, and daily financial support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Accounting administration: tax payments and filings.
• Process business license applications and renewals.
• Review and reconcile sales tax and accommodation tax returns.
• Accounts payable and financial support: monitor balances; vendor reconciliations; daily operations and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Accounting Administration
• Manage property tax payments and filings.
• Process business license applications and renewals.
• Review and reconcile sales tax and accommodation tax returns.
• Accounts Payable & Financial Support
• Monitor and maintain bank account balances.
• Assist with weekly accounts payable processing and check runs.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support daily accounting operations and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
