Description

The Senior Staff Accountant position supports procedures and objectives in international financial accounting, aiming to provide timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users while maintaining internal controls over financial processes. The role involves collaboration with departments such as FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and HR to gather necessary information for accurate accounting.

The Senior Staff Accountant reports to the US Accounting Manager and has responsibilities including:

1. Taking ownership of specific balance sheet areas, such as accrued liabilities
2. Performing balance sheet account reconciliations
3. Preparing journal entries, including allocations calculation and some cross-company entries
4. Participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes according to GAAP
5. Managing accounting related to payroll, royalties, professional fees, and workers' compensation
6. Meeting deadlines for internal, external, and government reporting
7. Supporting the Accounting Manager during internal and external audit reviews
8. Ensuring compliance with documented accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley controls
9. Participating in special projects as needed
