Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in the United States is seeking a Senior Specialist in Plant Automation focusing on OT infrastructure, controls, and industrial automation within a regulated research and manufacturing environment.

You will optimize and support plant automation systems (DeltaV, DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA), design OT infrastructure, and lead projects from scoping to implementation, partnering with scientists, engineers, and site operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include optimizing and supporting plant automation systems, designing and maintaining OT infrastructure (PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, PI Historian, virtualization, cybersecurity), and leading or supporting automation projects from scoping to implementation. The role partners with scientists, engineers, vendors, and site operations to improve reliability, efficiency, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in automation, engineering, or computer science; 5+ years of experience with manufacturing automation platforms (e.g., DeltaV, DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA), OT cybersecurity, virtualization, and industrial networking; proficiency in systems integration, troubleshooting, and project leadership.

Preferred qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and experience supporting regulated GMP environments, validation, and computer system lifecycle management.
