Job description

Position Purpose:

The Senior Specialist Category Marketing will facilitate marketing strategy under the guidance of the Category Marketing Manager through researching the market and facilitating strategic brief development. Along with coordinating and tracking key milestones and deliverables to accomplish campaign timeline objectives, this role will require cross-functional partnership and communication including internal partners, Orange Apron Media teams, and suppliers as needed. This individual should leverage their marketing expertise to align internal and external partners in omni-channel engagement opportunities and support department priorities. The individual will partner with internal stakeholders to understand departmental strategies, build cohesive and innovative campaign plans for omni-channel marketing deployments, and coordinate execution with internal owned and paid media teams. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly visible team that's reshaping digital advertising in the world's largest home improvement retailer.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Campaign Support (30%) - Triage execution of campaigns with Paid Media team; ensure detailed documentation for planned campaigns; support QC of campaign assets; ensure campaigns are launched in alignment with plans; highlight relevant vendor partners.
  2. Collaboration (15%) - Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure reporting to vendors; refine future campaign plans based on results.
  3. Media Plans (50%) - Develop integrated media plans for vendor campaigns with input from partners; itemize engagement opportunities across paid, owned, and earned channels; incorporate strategic adjustments; ensure proposals align with departmental strategy; document available campaign inventory to support sales processes.
  4. Projects (5%) - Work on special projects as directed.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • This position reports to the Senior Manager, Category Marketing.
  • There are no direct reports.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sitting in a comfortable position with opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light articles may be required.

Working Conditions:

  • Located indoors in a comfortable environment; any infrequent unpleasant conditions are not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in advertising, marketing, media, social media, or agency roles.
  • Experience with digital media, retail e-commerce, marketing/advertising technology, and on-site advertising products.
  • Project management experience and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of integrated marketing plans and creative asset briefs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication in both verbal and written forms.
  • Adaptive mindset and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
  • Ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to seek help when needed.
  • Strategic execution skills with an eye for process improvements.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
