Job Overview

At Bigham Cable Construction, as a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Your responsibilities include reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices, maintaining vendor files, resolving discrepancies, reconciling accounts payable balances, and supporting compliance and audit activities.

Responsibilities

1. Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
2. Maintain and update vendor files, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.
3. Reconcile accounts payable balances and perform vendor statement reconciliations.
4. Prepare and process payments through checks, wire transfers, and ACH.
5. Ensure regulatory compliance and support audit requests.
6. Generate reports, track outstanding checks, and update management.
7. Research subcontractor payables for accuracy.
8. Train and support team members on accounts payable procedures.

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work onsite full-time and support team training.
6. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
7. Age 18 or older.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Sedentary work, repetitive motions, visual acuity, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

$23-$27 per hour, with benefits including weekly paychecks, insurance, 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more.
