Overview

Medtronic ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) is part of the Neuroscience Portfolio, focusing on innovative solutions for ENT conditions, including surgical and therapeutic products to improve patient outcomes.

We are offering an opportunity to join the ENT Quality team as a Senior Software Quality Engineer, based onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

In this role, you will be a key contributor responsible for advancing technology or introducing new therapies. Your tasks include managing projects, collaborating with stakeholders, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring quality from design to implementation, including supporting the software design and development of medical devices, firmware, and related components.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain standards for software quality processes.
  • Evaluate software activities including requirements, design, development, testing, and validation.
  • Define measures to ensure software quality, develop quality metrics.
  • Implement software reliability controls, including testing and performance assessments.
  • Create operating criteria to ensure compliance with quality programs.
  • Ensure project and process documentation compliance.
  • Review design and change specifications against requirements.
  • Participate in product risk management and cybersecurity assessments.
  • Follow all quality system practices to meet FDA, ISO, and European standards.
  • Verify and validate software requirements, traceability, and testing.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of technical experience, or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with medical device design controls.
  • Knowledge of software development standards (IEC 62304, IEC 81001, ISO 14971, ISO 13485).

  • Experience in risk assessment, requirements management, defect tracking, and configuration management within the software lifecycle.

Compensation and Benefits
