Job summary

Illumio is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build secure, scalable software that orchestrates Zero Trust Segmentation at the application and pod level, with a focus on Kubernetes and container platforms.

You will own critical features, deliver reliable implementations, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with field teams and customers to shape the product and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• At least five years building distributed, scalable software systems.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java; Kubernetes familiarity emphasized.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, networking, and debugging; Unix/Linux experience; networking and security controls a plus.

Job description

Design and build secure, scalable software to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation at the application and pod level, enhancing support for Kubernetes and related container platforms. Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent degree and at least five years of experience building distributed, scalable software systems; a master's degree is a plus. Candidates should be proficient in a higher-level language such as Go, Python, or Java, and have Kubernetes familiarity, strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, networking, and debugging, plus Unix/Linux experience; networking and security controls experience is a plus.
