Ladders is seeking a Sr Software Engineer, AI Agent Platform to design, build, and operate real-time voice AI capabilities for mission-critical public safety communications. This role spans the stack to improve reliability, performance, and security while advancing production-ready LLM and agentic solutions.

Remote work for US-based candidates, salary $140,000–$160,000 annually, plus benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in real-time communication systems with expertise in Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech.
• Proven track record of technical leadership in large, complex systems.
• Ability to architect LLM and agentic systems in production settings.
• Deep knowledge of low-latency audio, streaming, and telephony technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Elixir, Go, Python, or Rust.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Software Engineer, AI Agent Platform to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on designing, building, and operating real-time voice AI capabilities that support mission-critical public safety communications. You will work across the stack to improve system reliability, performance, and security while advancing production-ready LLM and agentic solutions. This position partners closely with product and operations teams to refine technical strategy and help strengthen the engineering organization through mentorship and technical leadership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 annually
