The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for helping transform internal Trimedx applications into scalable, secure, customer-facing SaaS products. This individual should be someone who not just executes but helps drive the solution with system engineering thinking. Experience with integrations/API skillsets not just front-end web development is required.
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack SaaS applications supporting three major Trimedx platforms. Build and enhance customer-facing web applications, APIs, and backend services that support healthcare operations workflows. Develop scalable microservices and event-driven architectures to support multi-tenant SaaS deployments. Partner closely with Product Management, UX, Data Science, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams to deliver new capabilities from concept through production. Familiarity with Greenfield development Familiarity with secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC) for internal and external users. Build and consume APIs that integrate with enterprise systems, healthcare technologies, and third-party platforms. Contribute to cloud-native architecture decisions focused on scalability, resiliency, observability, and maintainability. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and DevSecOps best practices. Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience through monitoring, telemetry, and continuous improvement. Participate in architecture reviews and help establish foundational platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple healthcare operations products.
Delivers secure, scalable, customer-ready software that supports product growth. Helps establish a common healthcare operations platform architecture across multiple products. Reduces technical debt while accelerating feature delivery. Contributes to the transition from internally focused applications to commercially viable SaaS offerings. Drives engineering excellence through automation, quality, security, and platform thinking.
Develops and may lead applications development and the underlying framework. Collaborates and may lead application designs. May lead, implements, tests and delivers new features for multiple platforms. Coordinates with QA team to initiate testing and ensure testing is completed. Designs framework and software standards and make suggestions for systems / software improvements. Evaluate and improves application development process. Plans upgrades, migrations, optimizations, new implementations and identifies and resolves efficiency issues. Writes and reviews scripts, templates, interfaces and utility applications to continuously improve functionality. Develops, tests, troubleshoots and documents new and enhanced systems. Writes and reviews test plans for new and existing operating environments. Provides level 3 support for area of expertise. Troubleshoots and resolves a wide range of systems problems. May recommend standards and best practices including capacity planning, recovery strategies and security for supported areas. Oversees work of others to ensure code quality. Recommends solutions based on established best practices and own judgment. Sees patterns and uses conceptual thinking to solves problems. Makes proactive decisions that translate direction into specific actions. Issues are escalated to Technology Management Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision. Communicates with Management and may communicate to Technology Leadership, on status issues and decisions to influence outcomes. Leads meetings with partners to gain alignment and understanding. Provides guidance to less experienced team members. Creates and delivers presentations and communication to peers. All other Duties as assigned.
3+ years of experience in software coding and development. In-depth knowledge in the content areas of SQL, modeling and DB, database, application servers, catching technologies, agile methodologies, application design and testing.
Required: Associates degree or equivalent experience
Preferred: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in MIS, computer science or related fields.
