Job summary

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Java-focused software engineer for a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days remote) in Greenwich, CT. You will join the Back Office team, supporting Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Tax and related functions to ensure accurate processing and regulatory reporting.

The role involves a multi-tier server-side stack, debugging and maintaining existing systems, and applying strong OO and DBMS knowledge (Oracle a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• 5-10 years of Java experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts and multi-tier applications.
• Strong understanding of DBMS concepts (Oracle platform a plus).
• Hands-on server-side programming in Java/C++.
• J2EE experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Back Office team is the operational and financial backbone of Interactive Brokers, ensuring the accurate, timely processing that keeps our global brokerage running. This group spans a broad set of functions—including Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Clearing, Corporate Actions, Securities Finance, Market Data, and Credit—alongside Business Analytics, Investor Relations, and the CFO Office. You will be part of:
