Position Overview
The Software Developer is an Information Technology contributor responsible for:
- Working closely as part of a highly collaborative team to solve problems.
- Building and maintaining software for the Aveanna Healthcare suite of technologies and applications.
- Defining and creating solutions based on problem statements developed during collaboration with product management professionals.
- Providing technical guidance to maintain existing systems.
Essential Job Functions
- Work with product management to understand problems and define solutions.
- Create and support software applications and systems using Behavior Driven Development methodology.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new technical standards and methods.
- Apply best practices in testing, documentation, code reviews, etc.
- Collaborate with IT team members to triage issues, resolve service interruptions, and mitigate risks.
- Work with fellow developers to deliver solutions that benefit the organization and its stakeholders.
- Participate in improving software development lifecycle, technical operations, and technology innovation.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Experience with hybrid on-premises/cloud implementations
Preferences
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
- Experience with .NET Framework
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
- Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS DBMS tools like S3, DynamoDB, Aurora
