Job summary

B&B Concrete seeks a Sr. Site Safety Manager to support project staff and the safety team in executing corporate safety standards across Federal, State and local requirements. Lead safety programs, conduct weekly jobsite inspections, and promote a zero-injury culture on each project.

You will train personnel, review subcontractor safety plans, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards. Strong leadership and bilingual skills are preferred in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• CHST certification required.
• B.S. in Safety and Health or equivalent; 4 years of safety experience or related construction safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend initial meetings with project staff and subcontractor representatives to define roles in the safety program.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor reps to establish safety procedures.
• Establish and conduct regular safety meetings with subcontractor reps and project staff.
• Facilitate site safety training per OSHA/Concrete Strategies standards.
• Maintain safety records and logs, including toolbox talks and incident reports.
• Investigate incidents and generate proper reports; stop unsafe acts or practices immediately.
• Support fire prevention, evacuation and fire control procedures.
• Conduct monthly safety overview meetings and brief project staff on safety issues.
