Job summary

Gooch & Housego (G&H) is seeking a Sr. Manager, SIOP & Operational Excellence to align demand, supply, capacity, and financial plans across Optical Systems US operations.

You will own the planning process, governance, and performance visibility, partnering with site teams to standardize processes and improve delivery, inventory, and profitability. This role requires 25%–50% travel to Keene NH, Tampa FL, Rochester NY, and Moorpark CA, working with Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12+ years in supply chain/operations/planning; 3–5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing; optics/aerospace/defense preferred.
• Proven success driving SIOP or ops excellence across complex manufacturing.
• Experience leading multi-site process standardisation and organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory mgmt.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SYSPRO/SAP/Oracle).
• Strong analytical/problem-solving; excellent communication & stakeholder mgmt.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM/CSCP or IBF certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SIOP process including demand/supply reviews.
• Establish standardized planning processes, governance, and metrics.
• Drive cross-functional alignment to meet business priorities and capacity needs.
• Partner with Sales/Product Management for demand forecasting and requirements.
• Coordinate with site Operations/Engineering/Supply Chain for aligned plans.
• Identify supply constraints and mitigation plans for continuity.
• Define inventory strategies and planning parameters; monitor performance.
• Leverage ERP/MRP systems; provide actionable insights and dashboards.
