Job summary

Gooch & Housego Pal Alto is seeking a Senior Manager of Optical Fabrication to lead Fremont manufacturing operations, including precision optical fabrication and coating deposition. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive safety, quality, yield, throughput, cycle time, cost and on-time delivery while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Facilities and Maintenance.

You will develop leaders, strengthen capability, and lead initiatives for new product introductions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in precision optics/manufacturing.
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership with team responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of optical fabrication and/or coating processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across optical fabrication and coating operations with safety, quality, yield, throughput, cycle time, cost and on-time delivery.
• Translate business requirements into manufacturing priorities, capacity and resource plans with Planning.
• Establish manufacturing metrics, identify gaps and lead corrective actions for sustained improvement.
• Lead readiness for process transfers, NPI, equipment qualification and capacity expansion.
