Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a field service technician to set up concentrators and other durable medical equipment in homes, clinics, and facilities in the San Diego area. You will deliver oxygen equipment, perform routine maintenance, and document service activities for patient care.

You must be 21+, have good people skills, and be computer literate. This role includes on-call shifts and potential overtime, with hourly compensation ranging from $16.90 to $23.00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must be 21 years of age, good with people (verbal and writing), and computer-literate.

Responsibilities

• Completes orientation checklists and instructs patients on equipment use.
• Performs daily oxygen deliveries and checks along the patient route.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance; packages non-trivial repairs for shipment.
• Maintains and cleans the company vehicle; completes inspections.
• Cleans rental equipment and maintains warehouse organization.
• Follows FDA/OSHA/DOT safety policies and training manuals.
• On-call service evenings and weekends; documents service calls.

Job description

This employee performs equipment setups, specifically concentrators and durable medical equipment, in a professional, safe,and timely manner. This equipment is placed in apartments, private homes, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, andother areas where people with respiratory problems are treated.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Completes equipment orientation checklists for new equipment and other necessary paperwork as required fornew patient setup
  • Instructs patient in the safe and proper use of equipment
• Makes oxygen deliveries (cylinder and concentrator) and equipment checks on a daily route as determined bypatient base and Lincare routing system
  • Deliveries may include refilling reservoirs with liquid oxygen from a
    van mounted tank
• Performs minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment both in the home and at thecenter
  • For equipment repairs requiring other than minor repair work equipment is to be packaged for shipmentto the manufacturer or their designee
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance per schedule recommended by
    the manufacturer
• Maintains company vehicle in clean and orderly manner
  • Makes daily inspections and complete properpaperwork
  • Maintains established preventative maintenance schedule
• Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
• Follows FDA guidelines pertaining to cylinder tracking and oxygen analyzer testing
  • Follows Lincare policies asindicated in the operations manual and training manuals, including those found in the Safety & Regulatorymanual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT
    (includes adherence to the Vehicle Safety Disciplinary Policy), FDA, and Emergency Planning
• Works as on-call service representative evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis
  • Frequency isdetermined by the center size and the number of employees available to share in the responsibility
  • Mustrespond in a timely manner and record information on Service Call Report
• May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, and other periods of absenteeism
• Acts as group leader for service representatives
• Oversees warehouse operations
• Overtime may be required
• Direct the work of one or more service representatives giving them routing instructions and daily work assignments
• Maintain center inventory and provide purchase requisition to center manager to order new stock as needed to maintain inventory levels as required
• Offering $16.90 - $23.00 per hour

Qualifications.

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), required

Work Experience

• One to three months related experience and/or training, required
• equivalent combination of education and experience, required
