Job summary

NACHI America Inc. Robotics Division is seeking at least two experienced Senior Service Engineers to join our Novi Service Department in the Robotics division.

This role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, mentoring junior engineers, and leading field service at customer sites in the Novi area. We offer a competitive compensation package with negotiable pay for exceptional candidates, and opportunities for domestic and international travel to service a diverse customer

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Working knowledge of ladder logic and industrial control systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a passport.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair industrial robotic systems at customer facilities.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and robotic system issues.
  • Take ownership of customer concerns and drive issues through resolution.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Submit accurate and timely service reports and documentation.
  • Update technical documentation following field modifications and system changes.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of service documentation and procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior Service Engineers.
  • Serve as a technical resource and field leader for the Novi Service team.
  • Assist departmental management with special projects and operational needs.

Help Shape the Next Generation of Robotics Service Excellence

NACHI America Inc. is seeking at least two experienced Senior Service Engineers to join our Novi Service Department in our Robotics division. As our customer base continues to grow, we have expanded our service team with several new technicians who are currently in training. We are now looking for highly skilled, senior-level professionals who can provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and serve as trusted experts in the field.

This role is ideal for an experienced robotics or automation professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, travel, and helping develop less experienced technicians. Due to the competitive market for experienced robotics talent, we are offering a competitive compensation package and are open to negotiating compensation for exceptional candidates.

What You'll Do

Preferred
  • 2+ years of field service, industrial automation, robotics, or related technical experience.
  • Working knowledge of NACHI robot systems and programming.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and industrial automation equipment.
  • Previous experience training, mentoring, or leading technical personnel.
  • Proven success working independently at customer sites.
