Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions Interiors. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

Sr. Sales Manager serves as the technical product expert for customer service and manufacturing leads to quote and bid future interiors at Vertical Dimensions. The candidate will work with multiple departments within the company and use their technical skills to explain our products and services to customers and bid future work. Responsibilities of this role will include leading a team of customer service, and sales personnel to provide excellent customer service and delivery of Vertical Dimensions products.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • 5-10+ years working in a sales environment
  • 2-5+ years managing a sales department
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills
  • Experienced in designing, implementing and managing key performance indicators for Sales operations
  • Experience working with several materials (Wood, metal, and or glass)
  • Ability to read specifications and requests for quotes (RFQ’s) from customers, architects, and consultants
  • Familiarity with elevator products or similar construction equipment
  • Position requires analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Relevant experience with sales software – CRM
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Responsible for managing a team of 2 employees
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements and specifications.
  • Understand customer jobs, projects, specifications and their requirements
  • Collects and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate
  • Requires interface with project management, engineering, and procurement departments
  • Utilizes marketing and field sales insights to understand customers' unique needs, market conditions, and competitors
  • Implements sales strategies and supporting activities, including renewals, special offers, and discounts
  • Analyzes customer's technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources
  • Reviews sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Develops and delivers technical product presentations and materials used to engage customers and prospects and educate sales teams
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Travel up to 10% of time
