Job summary

Delek US in Arkansas is seeking a safety professional to conduct audits of refinery buildings, facilities, tools and equipment, determining training needs and delivering applicable safety training.

The role investigates accidents to identify root causes, develops corrective actions, and ensures compliance with OSHA and federal, state and local regulations. A 4-year degree and 4+ years in safety or related fields are required; a valid driver’s license is required. Travel may be involved.

Job Summary

Conducts safety audits of buildings, facilities, tools and equipment. Determines safety training requirements and provides employees with safety training applicable to their work processes. Investigates accidents to determine the root cause, circumstances and contributing factors. Develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrence. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of government safety regulations.

Education And Experience
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Four (4) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)

  • Conduct incident investigations, prepare written incident investigation reports, and assists in development of corrective actions
  • Maintain, organize and report safety KPIs including leading and lagging indicators for measurement of refinery safety performance
  • Attend and present safety information at Staff meetings, Contractor Safety Meetings, etc.
  • Working knowledge of FMCSA and PHMSA compliance
  • Utilize ELD and other technology portals for the management of Driver safety systems
  • May need to act as lead during incident management
