The Senior Safety Coordinator will contribute to pre-construction planning, assess subcontractors’ safety programs, manage incident investigations, and perform on-site inspections to implement corrective actions with project

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of construction safety experience (preferably for a general contractor).
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Professional Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP OR ASP preferred.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pre-construction and project planning by developing site-specific health and safety programs and procedures.
• Assess subcontractor safety programs, operating practices, procedures, and equipment for compliance with safety standards and regs.
• Manage investigations for workplace incidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage, including reporting and corrective actions.
• Perform safety inspections and compliance audits at construction sites, facilities, and shop locations, and drive corrective measures with project teams and subcontractors.

The Role:

• Contribute to pre-construction and project planning efforts while helping develop site-specific health and safety programs and procedures.
• Assess subcontractor safety programs, operating practices, procedures, and equipment to ensure alignment with company safety standards and all applicable regulations.
• Manage the investigation process for workplace incidents, injuries, near-miss events, and property damage, ensuring thorough analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform safety inspections and compliance audits at construction sites, company facilities, and shop locations while identifying risks and collaborating with project teams and subcontractors to implement corrective measures.

The Candidate:

• 3-5 years of construction safety experience. Preferably for a general contractor.
