Description

About Anyware

Anyware Robotics builds general-purpose mobile manipulator robots for industrial applications. Our robots are trusted by customers across logistics, retail, and manufacturing, supporting applications such as truck unloading, mobile palletizing, and machine tending.

The Role

The robots run on AnywareOS, our industrial physical intelligence system. Its architecture is modular and designed to generalize across applications without reprogramming. We are seeking a Sr. Robotics Systems Engineer with strong technical depth in analyzing the behavior of complex robotic systems in real-world environments. This role owns robot reliability, diagnostics, and cross-functional problem solving across software, hardware, operations, and customer deployments.

You will investigate challenging robot behaviors, identify root causes, and fix cross-cutting issues directly in the codebase / on the robot — driving every system issue through to resolution and long-term prevention.

What you'll do

  • Own robot reliability across development, test, and customer environments, and act as the technical lead for complex field issues that span multiple subsystems.
  • Investigate complex robot behaviors across perception, planning, controls, manipulation, and hardware integration, and determine whether the root cause is software, hardware, configuration, calibration, operations, or process.
  • Reproduce failures using logs, telemetry, replay tools, simulation, and physical robots — including repeatable methods for difficult, intermittent issues.
  • Drive issues to resolution — coordinate investigations across software, hardware, and operations; fix cross-cutting issues directly in the codebase (a hands‑on role — you own the change through review and merge).
  • Build cross-team features end-to-end —scope, design, and ship features that span perception, planning, controls, and hardware integration, owning them from architecture through validation and deployment on customer robots.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years building & debugging production software for physical systems, shipping features end-to-end from design through deployment, and keeping those systems reliable in production (on-call, incident response, reducing recurring failures).
  • Proven ability to debug complex systems from logs and telemetry and fix the root cause in the code, owning the full loop: reproduce → root‑cause → fix → validate.
  • Proven ability to design and land cross-cutting changes that span multiple subsystems and teams — you scope the work, align the owners, and carry the change through review, merge, and rollout.

Nice to have

  • Robotics middleware, perception, motion planning, or manipulation experience.
  • A proactive problem‑solver who digs to the true root cause rather than patching symptoms, and surfaces recurring failure patterns before they become incidents.
  • Strong modern C++ and Python — a hands‑on coding role, not coordination‑only.
  • Mobile manipulation or warehouse/logistics automation.

Why Anyware

  • An A+ Team: Anyware is built by top talents. Collectively, our team has won six Best Paper Awards and Finalists, including the ICRA 2025 Best Paper Award and ICRA 2024 Best Paper Award.
  • An A+ Robot: Our robot, Pixmo, won the Best Innovation Award (top‑1) at both ProMat 2025 and MODEX 2026 — the two largest logistics automation exhibitions in the world. This is the first time in history that a robotics company has won this prestigious award back‑to‑back. Pixmo also won the RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award, recognizing it as one of the top 50 most innovative robotics solutions globally.
  • Real Impact: You will contribute directly to the core manipulation intelligence that powers every Pixmo deployment. Your work does not stop at a demo — it ships into real customer sites and solves real problems at scale.
  • Fast Growth: You will sharpen your skills with strong ownership and real responsibility. The team size is doubling every year, creating plenty of room for talents to step up and shine.
  • Generous Equity: We offer generous equity. Salary makes a living, while equity makes a millionaire.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $150K-220K USD/year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional compensation may include equity, benefits, or other incentives, where applicable.

  • Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)
