Job description

About Anyware

Anyware Robotics builds general‑purpose mobile manipulator robots for industrial applications. Our robots are trusted by customers across logistics, retail, and manufacturing, supporting applications such as truck unloading, mobile palletizing, and machine tending.

The Role

Anyware Robotics is seeking Robotics Interns with expertise in Electronics to join our team. The position could be seamlessly transferred to full‑time if performance is outstanding.

As Electronics Intern, you will work with a team of innovative engineers from various high‑tech industries to prototype robotic systems. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in electrical, electronics, embedded and communication sub‑systems to design, prototype, test, and deliver features for our advanced generation of robots. You will also work on troubleshooting and integrating sensors, actuators, and control systems to help shape our robotic technology. This is a hands‑on internship that will provide you with valuable experience in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and dynamic start‑up environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Collaborate with a team of like‑minded innovators to prototype robotic systems.
  • Design, assemble and test custom PCBAs, inclusive of prototyping, integration with the robot and debugging as per requirements.
  • Work on selection and integration of AC – DC converters, DC – DC converters, suitable motors and motor drives following technical requirements of the robot.
  • Design of schematics for control architecture involving PLC. Implement the same in robots through integration of hardware and development of firmware.
  • Work with PLC or microcontrollers for quick proof of concept testing.
  • Dive into the world of sensors, actuators, and control systems to develop and troubleshoot our robots.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues in the robot. Develop solutions as well as documentation to reduce potential failures in future.
  • Share your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience of designing PCBAs in either Altium, KiCAD, Autodesk Eagle or equivalent.
  • Understanding of digital and analog signals as well as common communication protocols such as UART, I2C, CAN, RS232, etc.
  • Solid understanding of electrical circuits, including the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and wiring drawings.
  • Hands‑on experience with standard assembly and diagnostic tools, including power tools, hand tools, power supplies, multimeter, oscilloscope and logic analyzers.
  • Hands‑on experience wiring electromechanical modules in accordance with circuit diagrams and established wiring standards.
  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and dynamic start‑up environment as part of a small team.
  • Preferably work on a full‑time schedule at our office in Fremont.
Nice To Have
  • Experience of working with PLCs or microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with Python or C++
  • Familiarity with robotics software frameworks such as ROS/ROS2

If you are a motivated and talented engineering student looking to gain practical experience in the field of robotics, we would love to hear from you. Join us and contribute to the development of cutting‑edge robotic technology with your skills and enthusiasm. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and make a real impact on the future of robotics.
