Amazon’s Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team provides a framework for Amazon’s transportation programs to identify and manage risk in a rapidly growing and complex global environment. Our primary mission is to perform independent and objective assessments of risks and test controls embedded in Amazon business partners’ processes, aiming to optimize strategic objectives by minimizing negative surprises.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our Global Risk Management (GRM) team. As Amazon develops new transportation solutions, this role will collaborate with business leaders to implement effective risk management strategies. The successful candidate will propose innovative approaches and mitigation strategies throughout the business lifecycle, working closely with legal, business, product, and operations teams to ensure safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist transportation stakeholders in identifying and managing potential risks (e.g., regulatory, operational, reputational) that could impact strategic objectives.
2. Apply the risk management framework to transportation programs and influence the product landscape for audits and controls.
3. Guide senior leadership, resolve risk concerns, implement mitigation strategies, and influence product development.
4. Perform readiness reviews on new program launches.

This role leverages knowledge of regulations, industry standards, and risk assessment experience to shape Amazon’s transportation policies and strategies throughout the business lifecycle.

About the Team

The TRC risk management function aims to provide proactive risk solutions, supporting growth by aligning risk management with performance and objectives. The goal is to provide risk information that supports fact-based decision-making and strategic execution.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent.
