What You Will Do

We are seeking a strategic Insurance & Risk Manager to lead the development and execution of our insurance and risk management framework at Chomps. This critical role ensures the protection and resilience of our fast-growing snack brand. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive risk management strategies, securing suitable insurance coverage, and fostering a risk-aware culture across the company. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our financial operations by establishing a new insurance & risk management function within a nationally recognized brand.

Responsibilities

1. Risk Management & Mitigation

• Support the Finance team in executing Chomps' insurance and risk control strategies.
• Coordinate claims related to property, recall, general liability, D&O, cyber, etc.
• Review supplier contracts for insurance provisions in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
• Lead risk assessments, analyze costs/benefits of mitigation actions, and facilitate business continuity planning.
• Manage Certificates of Insurance (COI) processes.
• Monitor changes in risk profile and notify relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local insurance laws and regulations.
• Educate teams on insurance requirements and risk management practices.

Renewal and Insurance Management

• Collaborate with insurance brokers to evaluate market trends and set strategies.
• Gather and analyze risk exposure data across all coverage lines.
• Oversee policy issuance and maintain up-to-date insurance overviews.
• Manage relationships with brokers and carriers.

Financial Support

• Maintain records of total cost of risk (TCOR).
• Align coverage, costs, and carriers with leadership before binding policies.
• Process insurance premium payments timely.

Who You Are

• 5+ years in corporate risk management, consulting, or insurance roles with leadership impact.
• Experience managing corporate insurance programs, including renewals.
• Strong knowledge of global insurance markets, risk practices, and regulations.
• Ability to manage complex risk portfolios and develop mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage lines such as D&O, property, casualty, cyber, recall, etc.
• Excellent analytical skills with data visualization and presentation capabilities.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

Compensation & Perks

Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 + 20% annual bonus
