Job summary

Primient is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to lead reliability design on capital projects and improve plant-wide stability at our Lafayette, IN site. You will own operating process knowledge, run RCAs as a subject-matter expert, and drive KPI-driven improvements to uptime and safety.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, 3+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and familiarity with chemical unit operations and PSM. Experience in chemical processing is a plus.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years' engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic chemical unit operations and PSM.
  • Experience in chemical processes or production is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work Capital projects large (> $1m) and small (< $50k) incorporating reliability design.
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of on-site operating processes.
  • Facilitate RCAs and act as equipment SME for RCAs when appropriate.
  • Contribute to plant-wide reliability initiatives and long-term stability.
  • Develop understanding of maintenance KPIs and improvement initiatives.
  • Focus on equipment uptime and correct installation of new equipment.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support for site projects.
  • Support compliance efforts per OSHA, ASME, NFPA, and PSM.

Key responsibilities: Senior Reliability Engineer

Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is $123,515.20 - $154,394.00 and is bonus eligible.
