Job summary

Primient is seeking an entry-level Reliability Engineer to support plant reliability initiatives and capital projects. The role provides early responsibility, exposure to various processes, and opportunities to learn maintenance and reliability principles in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or related field, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn Process Safety Management (PSM) and reliability practices.

About the Role

Our Engineer 1 role is the perfect career launch pad for engineers looking to apply and build their experience. This opportunity is designed for students graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field in December 2026 or May 2027. We provide an accelerated learning journey in manufacturing and chemical engineering. You get responsibility right away and the opportunity to make your mark through exposure to a wide range of processes and technologies. Early Career Opportunity This position is intended for new or upcoming graduates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Candidates who are expected to graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

Reliability Engineer Support reliability and capital improvement projects, helping ensure equipment is designed and installed for long-term performance and maintainability. Learn and develop an understanding of plant operations, manufacturing processes, and critical equipment systems. Assist with root cause investigations (RCAs) to identify equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions. Participate in plant reliability initiatives focused on improving equipment performance and operational excellence. Develop an understanding of maintenance and reliability key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement efforts. Support efforts to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and overall asset performance. Provide technical support for equipment modifications, upgrades, and site improvement projects. Learn and apply industry standards and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, ASME, NFPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM).

About the Role

We’re looking for engineers who strive for excellence and are eager for more responsibility. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Interest in manufacturing, equipment reliability, maintenance, or continuous improvement. Exposure to chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environments through internships, co-ops, coursework, or projects is beneficial but not required. Familiarity with basic engineering principles and a willingness to learn Process Safety Management (PSM) and reliability practices.

Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is $82,053.60 - $102,567.00 and is bonus eligible. Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities.
