Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Puerto Rico is seeking a Sr Reliability Engineer for a biotechnology manufacturing site in Juncos, PR. This 6‑month initial contract offers an 8‑hour administrative shift with flexible scheduling to support 24/7 operations.

You will own the CMMS program, drive maintenance strategies, track equipment performance, and lead reliability improvements while coordinating with GMP/GLP compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Master or bachelor degree in engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience with CMMS, work orders, PM strategies and parts management.
• Reliability, change control and equipment optimization in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of GMP/GLP and pharma/biotech processes.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have the following requirements:

• Master degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience in related position.
• Possess manufacturing equipment ownership experience, including CMMS system management (work orders approval/closing, PM strategy, spare parts definition/accuracy/updates)
• Demonstrate reliability and change control assessment capabilities and experience in enhancing system reliability, focusing on equipment availability, downtime reduction, and maintenance optimization
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech processes, validation processes, and documentation in highly regulated environments
• Knowledge with pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing processes and have a solid understanding of GMP/GLP standards
• Strong technical documentation, written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish)

The Sr. Reliability Engineer will be responsible for

ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of manufacturing equipment through ownership of the CMMS program, maintenance strategies, and equipment lifecycle activities. This role leads reliability and continuous improvement initiatives, supports troubleshooting and change control assessments, develops equipment performance metrics, and drives maintenance optimization to reduce downtime.
