Location: Atlanta, GA – with travel required within assigned territory

At Crown Data Systems, we provide innovative transportation management software (TMS) to trucking companies specializing in air freight, local cartage, and first and final mile delivery. Our software streamlines operations by automating dispatching, tracking, billing, customer communications, and more. We also integrate with freight forwarders, ensuring seamless data flow between our customers and their partners.

As a Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer success within your assigned U.S. territory. You will focus on both retaining existing customers and prospecting new business in the trucking and freight logistics industry, while collaborating with a Customer Relationship Manager dedicated to supporting entry-level customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing Crown Freight Manager (CFM) customers. Act as their trusted advisor to ensure they receive maximum value from our platform.
  • New Business Development: Identify and prospect new trucking companies within your region to close new customer accounts.
  • Sales Process Management: Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact through to deal closure. Engage in discovery calls, product demos, proposal presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Travel to Prospects & Customers: Schedule and manage travel (approximately 25%) within your region for face-to-face meetings, fostering relationships, and closing deals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success Managers, Implementation, Product, and Support teams to ensure smooth implementation, training, and customer satisfaction.
  • Pipeline and Reporting: Maintain an active sales pipeline in Salesforce, providing detailed reports on sales activity, forecast accuracy, and progress toward goals. Track and report on KPIs as directed by leadership.
  • Industry Awareness: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to adjust strategies and identify new opportunities.

  • Achieving Sales Quotas: Meeting or exceeding revenue targets for new business and customer retention within your region.
  • Customer Growth and Retention: Building a pipeline of new customers while managing and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Working closely with internal teams to ensure your customers have a positive experience, leading to renewals, upsells, and referrals.
  • Strategic Impact: Contributing to the overall sales strategy, sharing insights on market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, logistics, and/or the transportation industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience managing both new business acquisition and customer relationship management.
  • CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems to track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in or working with asset-based trucking companies or the freight logistics sector is highly desired.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and negotiate at the executive level.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% within your assigned region, with some flexibility based on customer needs.
