Job description

Navy/USMC Senior Sales Manager

The Navy/USMC Senior Sales Manager drives revenue production and account penetration for a portfolio of named Navy/USMC accounts and manages other Navy/USMC account managers. Additionally, the Navy/USMC Senior Sales Manager works closely with and provides guidance to program managers to support the company’s strategic goals to win named Navy/USMC programs.

Location: Portland, OR preferred; Remote acceptable (Not NY, CA, MN)

Your Challenge:

  1. Drive profitable sales growth for PacStar products into Navy/USMC and other assigned accounts.
  2. Own the sales process from prospecting to closure.
  3. Maintain key accounts, establishing relationships with Program Managers, Senior Officers, and other decision makers.
  4. Gain trust of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) making influential technical decisions.
  5. Establish a trusted partner relationship at all influence and decision levels.
  6. Drive sales of PacStar products/services and solutions through advanced selling techniques.
  7. Develop and implement account strategies and tactical plans.
  8. Communicate strategies and plans effectively with leadership and supporting teams.
  9. Manage accounts across multiple locations and organizations within the territory.
  10. Collaborate with the Federal Program team for nationwide account management.
  11. Demonstrate business acumen through business case and ROI analyses.
  12. Lead responses to RFPs, RFIs, OTAs, and unsolicited proposals.
  13. Stay informed about leading-edge solutions, products, and services.
  14. Resolve customer escalations promptly and thoroughly.
  15. Understand key business drivers of customers.
  16. Implement strategic and consultative selling methodologies.
  17. Conduct regular territory and account reviews.
  18. Provide accurate reports, forecasts, and business plans.
  19. Travel within the region for sales calls and development activities.
  20. Participate in trade shows and other development functions.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • 10+ years’ successful sales and account management experience selling into Navy/USMC.
  • Strong understanding of Navy/USMC programs.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and data integrity importance.
  • Proven quota achievement.
  • Experience managing and growing a sales team.
  • Knowledge of DoD/Federal contracting processes.
  • Understanding of voice, network, data, security solutions.
  • Cisco experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and make sound decisions.
  • Professional image and customer handling skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related applications.
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and access military installations.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Strong self-organization and attention to detail.
