Job summary

Integra Mission Critical, LLC. is seeking a Sr Quality Technician Electrical in Houston to perform complex inspections of electrical equipment and serve as a technical resource for Quality staff.

The role supports first article builds, containment investigations, and final product readiness. You will interpret electrical drawings, inspect wiring, panels, and power distribution, verify test records, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria and documentation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of progressive electrical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience performing complex electrical inspections and supporting containment, investigations, correction or product release activities.
• Experience mentoring Quality or Production personnel.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical equipment assembly, panels, controls, wiring, and NEC/UL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including ready-to-ship inspections of electrical equipment and components.
• Support first article/build/first-of-kind inspections and other critical product checks.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and acceptance criteria.
• Inspect panels, controls, power distribution, wiring, and related assemblies.
• Verify equipment identification, torque, terminations, and connections; review test records.
• Mentor technicians on inspection methods and technical requirements.
• Support containment, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and verification.

The Opportunity

The Sr Quality Technician Electrical performs complex and critical inspections of electrical equipment and components and serves as a technical resource for Quality Technicians Production personnel and Quality leadership The position supports first builds significant quality issues containment investigations correction verification and final product readiness

What you will do

• Perform complex incoming in process andor final inspections including ready to ship inspections of electrical equipment and components
• Support first article first build first of kind and other critical product inspections
• Serve as a technical resource for interpreting electrical drawings schematics wiring diagrams bills of material specifications and acceptance criteria
• Inspect complex panels controls power distribution equipment wiring cables conduits grounding bonding and associated assemblies
• Verify critical equipment identification location orientation mounting clearances terminations connections hardware and torque requirements
• Review completed continuity insulation resistance grounding bonding point to point and functional test records as applicable
• Support inspection priorities and resolution of significant production floor Quality issues across multiple units
• Mentor Quality Technicians and Lead Quality Technicians on electrical inspection methods and technical requirements
• Evaluate complex or unclear nonconforming conditions and *escalate* issues requiring Engineering or Quality leadership review
• Support containment evidence collection root cause investigations corrective actions and effectiveness verification
• Determine whether similar conditions may affect other components circuits panels or units and support broader containment as needed
• Verify rework corrections testing documentation and closure or approved disposition of nonconformances before final acceptance
• Review recurring defects and inspection findings and recommend practical improvements
• Support the development and improvement of inspection checklists inspection methods and acceptance criteria
• Support customer inspections audits factory acceptance tests and product release activities
• Protect the accuracy integrity and traceability of inspection records and supporting evidence
• Base product conformance decisions on approved requirements actual product condition and objective evidence
• Report significant product risks unresolved conditions and potential escapes clearly and promptly

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Five or more years of progressive electrical manufacturing panel assembly wiring testing or inspection experience preferred
• Experience performing complex electrical inspections and supporting containment first builds investigations correction verification or product release activities
• Experience mentoring or training Quality or Production personnel
• Advanced working knowledge of electrical equipment and component assembly panels controls power distribution wiring cables conduits grounding and bonding
• Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings schematics wiring diagrams bills of material equipment ratings specifications and inspection requirements
• Strong knowledge of wire and cable sizes terminations connections lugs connectors hardware torque conduit installation labeling and cleanliness controls
• Ability to review electrical inspection and test records for completeness and compliance with acceptance criteria
• Ability to evaluate complex findings and determine when broader containment additional inspection or technical review is required
• Working knowledge of nonconformance documentation root cause investigation corrective action verification and final product acceptance
• Strong judgment technical communication mentoring organization and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of NEC UL electrical inspection and electrical testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical trade school certificate apprenticeship associate degree in electrical technology or related education preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers to access drawings and documentation complete inspection records and communicate inspection results preferred
