Position Responsibilities

This individual is responsible for technical quality assurance and quality control in all phases of construction at a project site. Travel is a requirement of this position.

  1. Manage data from inventory tracking system.
  2. Implement and train site quality/Field staff in the process and procedures.
  3. Provide on site inspection and documentation to ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the design and quality control manual developed by the manufacturer as well as IEA's Field Quality Control Plan.
  4. Coordinate with project management, engineers, suppliers, and labs regarding site issues, inconsistencies, and non-conformances.
  5. Direct and train skilled labor in various procedures.
  6. Read and understand shop drawings, mix designs, geotechnical reports, manuals, and engineered drawings.
  7. Knowledge of reinforcement and concrete placement, product testing, module installation processes, and civil construction processes.
  8. Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments on quality matters.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager & Director.
Education

Associate Degree or High School Diploma required.

Position Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in construction management or quality control.
  • Minimum of 2 years in construction or renewable energy preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
Training
  • On-the-job, compliance, and safety training.
